She started acting as a child playing guest roles.

She gained mainstream when she played Clara Del Valle in Mara Clara.

Julia has stared in a lot of telenovelas including Ikaw Lamang,Muling Buksan ang puso,Doble Kara etc.
She once won the Princess of Philippines television Award.

Julia revealed on her Instagram that she had reunited with her biological father, Martin Schnittka.
